Using Luceria

Tailoring a resume in Luceria, step by step

From choosing a source resume and job to reviewing the draft, adding a cover letter, rechecking and exporting, and what stays unchanged along the way.

Before you start

Have these ready

  • A source resume in your documents, uploaded or created in Resume Studio.
  • The full job description, not just the title; Luceria Jobs listings carry it through when the source provides it.
  • Any true context the resume does not contain, which you can add while reviewing.

The sequence

  1. Choose the source resume and the target job.
  2. Luceria separates the job's hard requirements from its preferences and useful terminology.
  3. It creates a separate, editable tailored draft that moves the most relevant evidence forward and uses accurate role language.
  4. Review the summary of what changed and the gaps it flags, and edit anything you would not say in an interview.
  5. Add a matching cover letter if the application needs one.
  6. Run the ATS check on the draft against the same job, edit and recheck.
  7. Export the final version as Word or PDF and keep it with the application.

What a change looks like

Illustrative example

One tailored line for a logistics coordinator role

Responsible for booking deliveries and dealing with drivers.

Scheduled around 60 weekly deliveries across two depots and resolved driver delays with carriers before they affected customers.

The tailored version uses the role's language (scheduling, carriers) and the volume the person gave in their own resume. It does not add a figure that was not there.

Access, allowances and your data

Generating or tailoring a resume uses the monthly resume allowance: Free includes a small allowance and Pro and Pro Plus include more. A matching cover letter is written with the same action and is not counted separately. Asking the AI follow-up questions about a resume is part of the paid plans. Current numbers are on the pricing page.

Your source resume is kept unchanged and the tailored draft is saved separately in your account. Tailoring sends the resume and job text to Luceria's AI providers, which are listed on the sub-processors page.

What tailoring will not do

Common questions

Will tailoring overwrite my original resume?

No. The tailored version is a separate draft, so your source resume stays available for the next role.

Do I need a paid plan to tailor a resume?

No. Free includes a small monthly resume allowance; paid plans include more, and the AI follow-up questions about a resume are paid.
