Luceria and Jobscan compared
Jobscan is built around a resume scanner that gives a match rate against a job listing, alongside AI resume optimisation, a resume builder, cover letters, LinkedIn optimisation, job matching, auto-apply and interview practice. Luceria also checks and tailors resumes against a specific job, and connects that work with opportunity verification, application workflows, a free tracker, interview preparation and support after rejection.
Jobscan details were checked on 2 October 2026 from its public website. Features change, so check Jobscan’s site for its current offer.

“Not listed on its homepage” means we did not find the capability there on 2 October 2026; it is not a statement that Jobscan does not offer it.
Where the two overlap
Both products help you compare a resume with a job description, tailor it with AI, write a cover letter, track applications and practise for interviews. If you are comparing Jobscan alternatives, those shared basics are a fair starting point, and the differences below are about approach and scope.
How the scoring approach differs
Jobscan's site recommends aiming for a 75% match rate. Luceria deliberately does not publish a target score, because employers configure their applicant tracking systems differently and an applicant cannot see those settings. Instead, Luceria reports each dimension separately — hard requirements, evidence quality, recency and relevance, keyword match and seniority, with parseability and formatting as pass-or-review flags — and treats a missing mandatory requirement as a real gap rather than something to fix with keywords.
What Luceria adds around the resume
Luceria treats the resume as one part of a whole search. A selected job can be checked with Verify before you spend time on it, turned into a sequenced workflow, tracked free on a board and funnel, and carried into interview preparation. After a rejection, Reflection offers a private, unsaved space to choose a next step, and people who want a human perspective can use the directory of independent career coaches.
Luceria does not auto-apply. Where an employer connection supports it, Luceria submits only after you review and confirm; otherwise it opens the employer's own application page with your documents ready.
When Jobscan may suit you better
- You want LinkedIn profile optimisation, which Luceria does not offer.
- You want an automated applying feature; Luceria deliberately keeps each submission in your hands.
- You prefer working towards a single match-rate number for each listing.
